The largest gathering of William Fife Designed Classic Yachts who returned to their home waters of the Clyde in 2003 for the second Fife Regatta.

The Fife Regatta 2008- The Fife Yachts are one of the world's most prestigious group of Classic sailing yachts and the 2008 event was the third private regatta held on the Clyde following the success of the 98, and 03 events.

The 470 Olympic Class European Championships held on the Clyde at Largs.

The 8 Metre World Championships were held in Scotland on the Clyde in 2007 as part of the RNCYC Centennial celebrations. The local team narrowly lost out to the Swiss although I am glad to report they finally won the event in 2009.

The Americas Cup Jubilee in 2001 was a fantastic parade of sail celebrating the Oldest Sporting Trophy. Despite the British never having won the Auld Mug.

The penultimate series starting from Gourock with an overnight sail. Close racing and the rise of the Irish contingent with Cracklin Rosie taking the overall title.

The Bell Lawrie Series in 2004 was the last to include the overnight offshore race starting in Gourock. The series in Tarbert was a predominately a light wind affair with strange mist and low cloud creating strange lighting. There seems a lot of vibrant colour in the pictures from this year. Irish boat, Antix, a Corby 35, won the overll series, starting the run of Irish victories.

The 2005 Bell Lawrie Series was a classic with fine weather for most of the weekend and really close racing especially in the IRC classes. It was also a year in which a couple of J80's to Tarbert as part of the Volvo Keelboat Programme to run match racing in the evenings, alongside the Farr 45 of youth sailors. In the midst of it all there was some great images to be had, Enjoy.

The 2006 Bell Lawrie series had some spectacular racing in solid conditions on Loch Fyne. A few favorites from all the years were taken this year. Anthony O'Leary won the event again in his Corby 36 Antix.

The 2007 Bell Lawrie Series provided an excellent mix of racing conditions over four days in May, based in Tarbert, Loch Fyne. Some of my favorite shots were taken and published this year with crisp clear light and some great opportunities for beautiful images. Again the Irish took a hold of the trophy care of Jump Juice, albeit with local tactician Ruairidh Scott.

The 2008 Bell Lawrie Scottish Series regatta in Loch Fyne. A near perfect and unusual set of conditions with steady North Easterlies dominating the week and the French winning the overall title. Only managed one day as my wife was expecting our second child!

The Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series is Scotland's Premier Sailing Regatta, hosted by the Clyde Cruising Club in Tarbert Loch Fyne. Over 250 boats descend on the picturesque West coast village to race over four days in May.

The first set of the finished images from this years Series at Tarbert. Won by a Scottish Team Salamander XX, a welcome return. Loch Fyne produced it's mix of weather throughout the weekend. Well done to all those who made the event possible.

The 2012 Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series held on the waters of Loch Fyne is Scotland's biggest regatta for yachts and small keelboats. Images will be uploaded daily through the event.

The elite of British university team racers, 128 sailors, raced at Strathclyde Loch, 28 teams representing 21 universities, to compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport Team Racing Championship Finals. Organised by the British Universities Sailing Association in conjunction with the University of Strathclyde Sailing Club.

Online archive of Harry Turner's images from the Scottish Series organised by the Clyde Cruising Club since 1975. The images are merely a snapshot of the event over the years and an enquiries can be taken about specific boats over the years.

Savills Kip Regatta held on the Clyde is a good event to get a feel for the racing season ahead of the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Series in Tarbert at the end of the month. Some nice new boats out this year with a shake up of the crews throughout the fleet.

The Men's and Women's Laser Radial World Championships held in Largs Scotland. 118 Women from 35 different nations compete in the Olympic Women's Laser Radial fleet and 104 Men from 30 different nations.

Thw World Laser Radial Youth Championships, Largs, Scotland. 317 Youth Sailors from 42 different nations compete in the World and European Laser Radial Youth Championship from the 17-25 July 2010. The Laser Radial World Championships take place every year. This is the first time they have been held in Scotland and are part of the initiaitve to bring key world class events to Britain in the lead up to the 2012 Olympic Games.

The Marine Blast Regatta hosted at Holy Loch SC. Plenty of one design racing in the Holy Loch. More images will be posted through the week.

The Scottish Series 2021 - Clyde Edition hosted by the Clyde Cruising Club 28-30th May. Annual sailing regatta normally held on Loch Fyne and based in Tarbert, but due to Covid restrictions held at three Clyde based location.

The Silvers Marine Scottish Series, the 43rd series of races held annually on Loch Fyne by the Clyde Cruising Club based at Tarbert.

The 1977 Tomatin Scottish Series was the first to be held on the Clyde in May with Olympic Triangles in Loch Fyne off the Fishing Village of Tarbert. The Start was at Gourock with an offshore round Ailsa Craig to Campbeltown, then a race to Tarbert before the Round the cans racing commenced. The offshore proved very light with most of the fleet not stopping in Campbeltown. Lots of names from the first series continue in the fleets today, with the overall winner going to Nick Stratton in Hydro-Djinn. Harry Turner captured these images using 6x4.5 colour film, that year Harry won the Scottish Sports Photography award with the first all colour portfolio of images. The gallery only contains a selection of the images due the the cost of transferring them from film to digital. Enjoy.

The Neil Pryde Laser National Championships 2014 held at Largs Sailing Club, Scotland from the 10th-17th August. Three classes, Standard, 4.7 and Radial compete on the Clyde.
